Huawei is set to introduce the new HUAWEI MatePad Air in Malaysia on 18 August 2026, bringing a slim and lightweight AI tablet designed to deliver a PC-like productivity experience in a portable form factor.

Built around Huawei’s “slim and stunning” design philosophy, the HUAWEI MatePad Air features a full-metal body and will be available in Airy Blue, White, and Sakura Pink. Its thin and lightweight design is aimed at users who need a portable device for work, learning, creativity, and everyday tasks.
For productivity, the tablet comes with PC-level WPS Office 3.0, complemented by WPS AI to provide intelligent tools for managing tasks and streamlining workflows. Huawei also includes its HUAWEI Notes and GoPaint applications, giving users tools for note-taking, document work, and creative projects.
The HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard and HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro further expand the tablet’s capabilities, allowing it to transition between traditional tablet use, productivity tasks, handwritten notes, and creative work.
The HUAWEI MatePad Air also features an upgraded Ultra-clear OLED PaperMatte Display, designed to provide a comfortable viewing experience for both productivity and entertainment. The display is suited for viewing documents, sketching, and consuming multimedia content.
Huawei is positioning the HUAWEI MatePad Air as more than just a portable tablet, with its combination of AI-powered productivity tools, accessories, and connected ecosystem designed to support users across work, creativity, and everyday activities.
The HUAWEI MatePad Air will officially launch in Malaysia on 18 August 2026. Pricing and availability details will be announced at launch, while customers who pre-order can receive free gifts worth up to RM4,003.
The pre-order bundle includes the HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard, HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, HUAWEI Wireless Mouse, AI-Powered WPS Office with a one-year WPS AI subscription, AI-Powered HUAWEI Notes, and HUAWEI Premium Service.
The tablet will be available through HUAWEI Experience Stores and HUAWEI’s official online channels, including the HUAWEI Official Website, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee, HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada, and HUAWEI Official TikTok Shop.
