HONOR X9e Pro Showcases Extreme Durability in Collaboration with Malaysian Film TERBANG
HONOR has teamed up with Malaysian film TERBANG to showcase the durability of the HONOR X9e Pro through two brand films. The campaign highlights the smartphone’s ability to withstand demanding conditions while drawing parallels with the film’s themes of resilience, determination and the never-give-up spirit.
Inspired by the true story of national rally legend Karamjit Singh, TERBANG follows Ajeet as he makes an emotional return to rally racing. The story centres on his efforts to overcome personal struggles and pursue his ambitions on the international stage, reflecting the same resilience that HONOR aims to demonstrate through its smartphone.
The first promotional video puts the HONOR X9e Pro through a rally-inspired driving experience. Mounted on the side of a sports car, the smartphone captures Ajeet navigating narrow muddy roads, rough terrain and sharp corners at high speeds. Despite being exposed to flying stones, repeated impacts and rain throughout the drive, the device continues recording.
The video also features flashbacks to Ajeet’s personal struggles, drawing a comparison between his journey towards a comeback and the smartphone’s ability to withstand challenging conditions.
The second video takes a more playful approach to demonstrating the device’s durability. During a training session, Imran challenges Ajeet to drive over the HONOR X9e Pro repeatedly. Although initially hesitant, Ajeet eventually accepts the challenge, running over the smartphone several times in the mud. The device emerges unscratched and remains fully functional, demonstrating its durability under the test.
Under the hood, the HONOR X9e Pro features Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology 4.0, which is designed to withstand drops from heights of up to 3 metres while reducing screen damage by up to 82%. The smartphone has also received SGS 5-Star Certification for Drop Resistance in Harsh Conditions.
For water protection, the device comes with IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. It also adopts a submarine-inspired multi-compartment architecture designed to prevent water from entering its internal components, with water resistance extending to depths of up to 10 metres.
The HONOR X9e Pro is available in four colour options: Royal Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold and Midnight Black. Both storage configurations come with 24GB RAM, comprising 8GB physical RAM and 16GB HONOR Turbo RAM.
In Malaysia, the HONOR X9e Pro is priced at RM1,799 for the 256GB variant and RM2,299 for the 512GB variant, following an instant RM100 rebate.
Customers who purchase the smartphone will also receive a complimentary gift and protection package worth RM1,326. The bundle includes an HONOR Watch 6i, 730-day front and back crack replacement coverage, 730-day liquid damage protection and a one-year extended warranty.
