HONOR Malaysia has officially introduced the new MagicPad 4, a flagship tablet that aims to blur the line between traditional tablets and laptops. Designed for productivity-focused users, the device combines a slim and lightweight form factor with flagship hardware, AI-powered features, and a unique dual-OS setup that brings PC-like capabilities to a tablet.

One of the key highlights of the HONOR MagicPad 4 is its 2-in-1 AI Tablet and PC Dual-OS experience. The tablet integrates both Android and a Linux-based environment, allowing users to switch between a conventional tablet interface and a more advanced desktop-like workspace. Through LinuxLab, the device is capable of handling professional workloads such as coding, AI development, and intensive multitasking, while also supporting AI agent deployment, including OpenClaw AI.

To further enhance productivity, HONOR has collaborated with partners to bring desktop-grade applications to the tablet. This includes a desktop version of WPS Office, offering advanced spreadsheet functions, desktop-style toolbars, and enhanced document editing tools. The MagicPad 4 also supports a PC-class version of CapCut, providing creators with a larger editing workspace, timeline-based editing, improved layer management, and more advanced creative tools.

When paired with a keyboard, the MagicPad 4 automatically activates PC Mode, transforming the interface into a desktop-style environment complete with mouse support, keyboard shortcuts, advanced file management, and support for up to 20 multitasking windows.

Cross-platform compatibility is another major focus. Through HONOR Connect, users can seamlessly connect the MagicPad 4 with Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. The tablet can even function as a secondary display for macOS devices. Meanwhile, HONOR OneTap enables quick file transfers between compatible HONOR devices with a simple tap.

Running on HONOR’s latest AI platform, the MagicPad 4 features a range of productivity-focused tools. These include AI Memo for generating meeting summaries and speaker recognition, AI Speech-to-Text for real-time transcription, AI Summary for extracting key points from lengthy content, and AI Writing Tools to assist with content creation and editing.

The MagicPad 4 is also among the slimmest tablets available in Malaysia, measuring just 4.8mm thick and weighing approximately 450g. Despite its lightweight design, HONOR says the tablet remains a capable productivity companion, especially when paired with the Smart Keyboard and Magic Pencil 4s.

On the front, the device features a 12.3-inch 3K OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The panel is complemented by a 93% screen-to-body ratio and ultra-slim 3.9mm bezels for a more immersive viewing experience. HONOR has also equipped the display with several eye-comfort technologies, including TÜV Rheinland low blue light and flicker-free certifications, 5280Hz PWM dimming, Chip-Level AI Defocus Display, and the company’s DOT Eye Comfort Technology.

Powering the MagicPad 4 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, built on a 3nm process. The tablet is backed by a 10,100mAh battery with support for 66W HONOR SuperCharge, while the Ice Cooling System helps maintain performance during demanding workloads.

Connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 7, which HONOR claims can provide coverage of up to 700 metres under suitable conditions. For audio, the tablet is equipped with an eight-speaker system enhanced by HONOR Spatial Audio technology.
