Honor Malaysia today officially launched the Honor 8, which is the company’s latest flagship device, alongside with an affordable device — Honor 5A.
The Honor 8 features 2.5D glass on its front and rear, and sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display at 423ppi pixel density. Under the hood is a Kirin 950 processor with 4GB RAM and 32/64GB internal storage.
The device back is made of 15-layer craftsmanship, combines with glass/metal back to create brilliant light reflections.
The device features a dual-12MP rear camera setup with f/2.2 aperture and laser auto-focus. It has an 8MP front-facing camera for selfie duty as well. In addition, the fingerprint on the back comes with a few handy features like its predecessor.
The Honor 8 will be priced at RM1,699 for 32GB variant and RM1,899 for 64GB variant. The 32GB variant is available in Midnight Black and Pearl White colors, while the 64GB variant is available in Sapphire Blue and Sunrise Gold colors. All units will come with a year of warranty with one-to-one swap service, with 3 months screen crack protection.
Starting on September 8th, customers can purchase the device via its official e-commerce partners: VMall Malaysia and Lazada Malaysia, as well as its official retail partner: DirectD. The company will be offering free premium gifts worth up to RM500 for the first 100 customers on top of their Honor 8 purchases of each VMALL Malaysia, Lazada Malaysia and DirectD.
Besides Honor 8, Honor Malaysia also launched the Honor 5A. The Honor 5A is an affordable device packing a 5.5-inch HD display, Kirin 620 processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera and a 3,100mAh battery.
The Honor 5A will be available in Malaysia on September 20th at the price of RM599 for black and white variants, while the gold variant is priced at RM629.
