HONOR Malaysia today officially launched the HONOR 70 alongside the HONOR MagicBook 14 and HONOR Pad 8. The phone is available for pre-order until August 26, while all devices will be nationwide from August 27.
HONOR 70
The HONOR 70 carries on the tradition of the HONOR number series. Its design is inspired by crystal glass and light rays of diamonds, which features a diamond-shaped pattern. The phone sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED 58° curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus 5G processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
The HONOR 70 is the first phone to debut with a 54MP Sony IMX800 1/1.49″ sensor, which captures more light for brighter and more detailed pictures. The phone also has a 50MP 122° ultra-wide camera that doubles up as a macro camera. There’s also a 2MP depth camera, which I don’t think is useful. The phone also comes with the Solo Cut mode feature, which records both panorama view and solo view at the same time. It also comes with a 32MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.
The phone comes with a 4,800mAh battery that supports 66W HONOR SuperCharge. It runs on Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12 and will be available in three colors — Crystal Silver, Emerald Green, and Midnight Black.
HONOR MagicBook 14
The HONOR MagicBook 14 is an ultra-thin 14-inch laptop that features an aircraft-grade aluminum body. It sports a 14-inch 2.1K HONOR FullView Display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. Powering the laptop is the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H processor with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. It comes with Intel Iris Xe Graphics, and if you need a dedicated graphics card, it is also available with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU.
The laptop packs a 75Wh battery that supports 100W HONOR SuperCharge. It features HONOR Connect, which includes a bunch of features like HONOR Share, Multi-screen Collaboration, HONOR Device Clone, and OS Turbo. The laptop runs on Windows 11 Home with pre-installed Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021.
HONOR Pad 8
The HONOR Pad 8 is the company’s latest tablet that weighs half a kg. It sports a 12-inch 2K Eye-Care HONOR FullView Display with an 87% screen-to-body ratio. Powering the tablet is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The tablet comes with eight loudspeakers with Hi-Res Audio certification. The speakers are all tuned with DTS:X Ultra and HONOR Histen Sound, which will deliver vibrant and dynamic 360° sounds for an immersive audio experience.
In case you are planning to capture photos using the tablet, it actually has 5MP rear and front cameras. The tablet runs on Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12 and HONOR has included a few features such as Multi-Windows Viewing and App Extender, both are different split screen features. The tablet packs a 7,250mAh battery that supports 22.5W HONOR SuperCharge.
