DJI has announced the availability of the Osmo Pocket 4P Pearl White in Malaysia, introducing a new colour option for its dual-lens gimbal camera. Priced at RM2,419, the new edition combines a pearlescent white finish with professional video recording capabilities designed for content creators, vloggers and filmmakers.
The Pearl White edition features a premium finish made using mica-infused pearlescent pigments and multi-layer spray coating technology. Its appearance subtly changes under different lighting conditions and viewing angles, offering a more distinctive look while retaining the camera’s compact design.
At the heart of the Osmo Pocket 4P is a 1-inch CMOS sensor paired with a 20mm wide-angle lens featuring an f/2.0 aperture. Using LOFIC technology, the camera supports video recording at up to 4K resolution and 240 frames per second (fps), allowing users to capture detailed slow-motion footage.
DJI claims the camera offers 17 stops of dynamic range, helping preserve details in both bright highlights and dark shadows. This could prove useful when recording challenging scenes, such as sunsets, backlit portraits and other high-contrast environments.
The camera also supports a 10-bit D-Log 2 colour profile, capturing more than one billion colours for greater flexibility during colour grading and post-production.
For portraits and close-up shots, the Osmo Pocket 4P includes a 60mm medium-telephoto lens with an f/1.8 aperture. It offers 3x optical zoom and up to 12x zoom, alongside a depth-of-field equivalent of f/6.3, allowing creators to produce shots with a more pronounced background separation.
Combined with gimbal stabilisation, the dual-lens system is designed to help users achieve cinematic-looking footage without carrying a larger camera setup. The device weighs approximately 230g.
Beyond its dual-lens system, the Osmo Pocket 4P includes several features intended to simplify video production and everyday content creation.
These include:
- 4K slow-motion recording: Capture footage at up to 4K/240fps for slow-motion playback at up to 8x.
- 37MP still photos: Take high-resolution images with additional flexibility for cropping and reframing.
- 4K Live Photo: Record a 1.5-second 4K clip with each photo to preserve movement around the captured moment.
- ActiveTrack 8.0: Track subjects such as people, vehicles and pets to help keep them within the frame.
- Faster file transfers: USB 3.1 support enables transfer speeds of up to 800MB/s, helping speed up editing workflows.
- Up to 210 minutes of runtime: The camera is rated for up to three and a half hours of use on a single charge.
- Fast charging: Recharge from 0% to 80% in approximately 18 minutes.
- 10-bit HDR video: Record high-dynamic-range footage with a wide colour range for more flexible editing and playback on compatible HDR displays.
The camera also supports automatic media transfers to iOS devices after the camera is powered off. For the recommended setup, DJI specifies an iPhone 16 series device or later running iOS 26.4.1 or above, with the camera’s battery level above 15%.
Compatible with DJI’s Osmo Accessories
The Osmo Pocket 4P Pearl White is compatible with a range of accessories sold separately, allowing users to customise their setup according to their shooting requirements.
Supported accessories include the Osmo Pocket 4 Fill Light, neutral-density (ND) and polarising filters, wide-angle lens adapters, a battery handle and OsmoAudio microphones.
These options provide additional flexibility for creators who want to expand their setup for different filming environments, from casual vlogging and travel videos to more involved production work.
