Just a week after the global debut, the DJI Mavic Mini is finally here in Malaysia! Weighing at just 249g, this is the smallest and lightest DJI drone ever made.
Measuring at 160 x 202 x 55mm unfolded, and 140 x 82 x 57mm when folded, the Mavic Mini comes with a 3-axis gimbal camera. It has a 12MP 1/2.3” CMOS sensor with an f/2.8 lens, which is capable of shooting 2.7k videos at 30fps and Full HD at 60fps.
Sadly, the Mavic Mini comes with lesser sensors compared to other DJI drones. It still has a vision sensor and GPS precise hover, though. It has a maximum speed of 13m/s in Sport (S) mode, with up to 4km HD video transmission.
The drone has a 2,600mAh battery, which has up to 30 minutes of flight time, that’s double the flight time of the Spark we reviewed in 2017. Additionally, there’s also the DIY creative kit that lets you personalize your Mavic Mini with custom stickers or draw your own design.
The DJI Mavic Mini will be available in Malaysia from mid-November onwards, in two purchase options. The standard package is priced at RM1,599, which includes the Mavic Mini, remote controller, one battery, extra propellers, and all necessary tools and cables. As for the Fly More Combo, which is priced at RM1,999, it comes with all of the components from the standard version with the addition of a 360° Propeller Cage, Two-Way Charging Hub, two additional batteries, three sets of extra propellers, and a carrying case.
