Locally Assembled BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence Previewed in Malaysia

BMW Malaysia today previewed the locally assembled variant of the All-New BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence, reaffirming the company’s investments in the local automotive landscape.

The BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence is the company’s most luxury SAV with a massive imposing front kidney grille together with the slender BMW Laserlight headlights that can illuminate up to 600 meters ahead. The SAV comes with large windows and a long, dynamically flowing roofline that hints at a spacious interior. It has 21-inch light-alloy wheels in Y-spoke style 753 Bicolour with run-flat tyres, available as standard. The CKD variant also features a fully-electric tailgate in the rear with the Comfort Access feature, and two large, rectangular tailpipes – one on each side, conveying its immense power.

Powering the X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence is a six-cylinder in-line petrol engine paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission capable of a maximum power of 250kW/340hp and a peak torque of 450Nm. 0 to 100km/h will take 6.1 seconds with combined fuel consumption of 9.5l/100km and combined carbon emission of 218g/km.

Like the CBU variant, the CKD variant is offered with the innovative Executive Drive Pro with active roll stabilization. Ride comfort is further enhanced by the Dynamic Damper Control system, which is able to process data from the navigation system and front camera. It also features Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).

The BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence features the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with BMW Operating System 7.0 combines the fully digital, user-configurable 12.3-inch instrument cluster with an equally large central Control Display with touchscreen functionality. It also has the BMW Head-Up Display, together with the voice-controlled BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant and BMW Gesture Control.

Other interior highlights include a sport leather steering wheel, electrically adjustable comfort seats with active seat ventilation in front, Welcome Light Carpet feature, five-zone air conditioning, a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System with 16 loudspeakers, and electric roller blinds for side windows.

As for the driving assistance systems, the SAV comes with the BMW Personal CoPilot technology, which includes the Parking Assistant Plus with automatic maneuvering in and out of parallel parking spaces, along with the Reversing Assistant to assist in safely maneuvering out of a tight parking space.

Other features include Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, front collision warning with brake intervention, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, and Integral Active Steering.

The BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence is available in five exterior finishes with selected interior color combinations. The exterior colors of Black Sapphire and Sophisto Grey come in Cognac Leather Vernasca upholstery with Black design perforations, while Phytonic Blue and Manhattan Metallic exteriors come complete with an all-Black design-perforated Leather Vernasca interior. Lastly, Leather Vernasca in Coffee with Black design perforations comes exclusively with the Mineral White model.
