Black Shark 5 Series Officially Launched in Malaysia

Black Shark, a Xiaomi-backed gaming smartphone and accessories maker, has officially launched the Black Shark 5 series in Malaysia. There are two phones in the series — the Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro. These phones feature an all-new sleek design and a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate, and Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation (MEMC) feature.

The main difference between the Pro and non-Pro versions is the processor. The Pro version is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, while the non-Pro version is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.

Additionally, the Pro version also comes with a 108MP main camera, while the non-Pro version has a 64MP main camera. The Black Shark 5 Pro has a 5MP telephoto camera as opposed to the non-Pro’s 2MP macro camera. Both phones also feature a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 16MP front camera for taking selfies.

Both models also feature magnetic pop-up triggers and pack a 4,650mAh battery that supports 120W Hyper Charge. Both phones run on Black Shark JOYUI 13 gaming system, which is based on MIUI 13. Through Shark Space 4.0 on JOYUI 13, you can quickly get access to network settings, performance adjustments, mute notifications, and other functions in any game.
