We evolved for a revolution. Now it’s time for Zenvolution. Today during the Zenvolution Malaysia Launch, ASUS unveiled the all-new ZenFone 3 family, ZenBook 3, Transformer 3 Pro and Transformer 3.
ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe
Announced at Computex 2016, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is a flagship device that features an all-metal curved unibody with invisible antenna design. It sports a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
The device is powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 or Snapdragon 820 processor with 6GB RAM. It features a fingerprint scanner and supports Quick Charge 3.0 via its USB Type-C port.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe has a 23MP Sony camera with PixelMaster 3.0 technology and TriTech auto-focus technology (laser, phase detection and continuous auto-focus). It also comes with four-axis OIS too.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe will be available in two variants — Snapdragon 821 + 6GB RAM/256GB storage and Snapdragon 820 + 6GB/64GB storage, which priced at RM3,299 and RM2,599 respectively.
ASUS ZenFone 3
The ZenFone 3 features a 2.5D Gorilla Glass on its front and rear. The device sports either a 5.5-inch or 5.2-inch Full HD Super IPS+ display with 77.3% screen-to-body ratio.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It has a 16MP Sony camera with PixelMaster 3.0 technology, OIS and TriTech auto-focus technology as well.
Like the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, the ZenFone 3 also has a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port that supports Quick Charge 3.0, as well as SonicMaster and High-Res Audio certification.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 is priced at RM1,499 for 5.2-inch variant and RM1,699 for 5.5-inch variant.
ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra
The ZenFone 3 Ultra is the biggest edition in the family with a 6.8-inch Full HD IPS display covered by Gorilla Glass 4. It is the world’s first smartphone with a dedicated display processor like those found in the latest 4K UHD TVs.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with up to 4 GB of RAM. Camera wise, it is same as the ZenFone 3 Deluxe — 23MP Sony camera with OIS, PixelMaster 3.0 and TriTech AF.
The device packs a 4,600mAh battery, which claims to have up to 34 hours of 3G talk time. It can even charge attached devices as a power bank with a high current of up to 1.5A that makes charging up to three times faster.
As for the price, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra is priced at RM2,599, which is same price as the 64GB variant ZenFone 3 Deluxe.
ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser
The ZenFone 3 Laser, which announced later than the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Ultra, has a 5.5-inch Full HD display.
The main selling point of the device is its camera part. It has a 13MP camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and laser auto-focus system. The device has a metal body at just 7.9mm thin, as well as a fingerprint sensor.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser is priced at RM999, offering a Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.
ASUS ZenFone 3 Max
The ZenFone 3 Max is all about long battery life, it has a huge 4,100mAh battery with up to 30 days of standby time. The device can also double up as a power bank to charge other mobile device.
Powering the device with a 5.2-inch HD IPS display is a MediaTek quad-core processor mated with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. The device has a 13MP f/2.2 camera without laser auto-focus.
As for the price, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Max is priced at RM799. The device also features a fingerprint sensor on its back.
ASUS ZenBook 3
The ASUS ZenBook 3 is the latest ultrabook from the company. It is even thinner and lighter than the MacBook at 11.9mm thin and weighs 910g.
The ZenBook 3 is powered by up to an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of 2,133 MHz RAM, up to a 1TB PCIe Gen 3 x4 SSD, a next-gen USB Type-C port, and powerful quad-speaker audio by Harman Kardon.
The laptop has a 12.5-inch Full HD display covered by Gorilla Glass 4 with 72% NTSC color gamut. It features 82% screen-to-body ratio for the maximum display size with the minimum footprint.
The laptop comes with a full-size backlit keyboard with 19.8mm key pitch and 0.8mm key travel. You’ll find a glass-covered precision touchpad below the keyboard. It also comes with a built-in fingerprint reader with Windows Hello support.
Pricing wise, the ASUS ZenBook 3 is priced at RM7,999. The company claims that the laptop provides up to 9 hours of battery life for all-day computing.
ASUS Transformer 3 Pro
The ASUS Transformer 3 Pro is a 2-in-1 PC that sports a 12.6-inch WQHD+ (2,880 x 1,920) glare touchscreen with 275ppi pixel density and 121% sRGB color space.
The device comes with an integrated metal kickstand with a stepless hinge that lets users set the device at almost any viewing angle up to 170°. It is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and has up to a 1 TB PCIe x4 SSD and 16 GB of 2,133MHz RAM. Its USB Type-C connector supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 devices at speeds up to 10Gbps, and Thunderbolt 3 provides 40Gbps data transfers and support for dual external 4K UHD displays.
Price wise, the ASUS Transformer 3 Pro is priced at RM6,999 with Cover Keyboard and ASUS Pen come in box. The ASUS Pen is a stylus that detects 1,024 levels of pressure for completely nature note-taking and sketching experiences with a high degree of control.
ASUS Transformer 3
The ASUS Transformer 3 is quite similar to the Transformer 3 Pro. It has the same 12.6-inch WQHD+ display and USB Type-C connector that supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 devices.
However, the device has four high-quality speakers with audio by Harman Kardon. Under the hood is a 7th Gen Intel Core processors with 4GB RAM and 256GB SSD.
The ASUS Transformer 3 is priced at RM3,199 with Sleeve Keyboard and ASUS Pen come in box.
ASUS ROG XG Station 2
Additionally, ASUS also showcased the ROG XG Station 2, which can be connected to the Transformer 3 Pro and Transformer 3.
The ASUS ROG XG Station 2 is an external graphics card dock, which gives desktop-grade graphics performance, turning it into a VR-ready gaming powerhouse. Inside the graphics card dock is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, which is much better than the GTX 980. Unfortunately, the price for the ROG XG Station 2 remains unknown.
