ASUS Zenbook DUO Officially Launched in Malaysia

ASUS Malaysia has officially introduced the newest lineup of Intel-powered laptops in Malaysia. This includes the Zenbook DUO (UX8406), an updated version of the Zenbook S 13 OLED (UX5304M), and the Vivobook 16 (A1605V). Additionally, ASUS showcased the recently launched Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405), now available in Malaysia.

Zenbook DUO (UX8406)

The Zenbook DUO boasts two 14-inch 3K 120Hz ASUS Lumina OLED 16:10 touchscreens. The two displays are joined by a lay-flat 180° hinge to instantly expand the visual workspace to up to a massive 19.8 inches, which can be used in vertical or horizontal orientations for several versatile user modes — Laptop, Dual Screen, Desktop, or Sharing — controlled by intuitive ASUS ScreenXpert software. With its detachable full-size Bluetooth ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad, this incredible device rewrites the rule book for on-the-go versatility, the rechargeable keyboard can also be detached to allow full use of the visual workspace or be placed on the lower display for a traditional clamshell laptop experience.

The Zenbook DUO is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for AI acceleration, 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, a long-lifespan 75Wh battery, and a Harman Kardon-certified Dolby Atmos audio system. The redesigned 75 Wh high-capacity battery has an eco-friendly extended lifespan that supports up to 20% more charging cycles than the previous generation. As an Intel Evo Edition laptop, Zenbook DUO wakes instantly, charges fast, and delivers all-day battery life so users can confidently travel without their chargers.

The 14.6mm-thin chassis has no compromises in I/O capabilities, either, with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 (TMDS) port, and a convenient 3.5mm audio jack, so users don’t need to carry a bulky docking station or multiple adapters when traveling.

The ASUS Zenbook DUO (UX8406) will be available in Malaysia starting as early as next month, with the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor variant going on shelves from 19 February 2024 onwards, priced at RM9,999. As part of the early bird campaign, customers purchasing the ASUS Zenbook DUO will also receive an ASUS VivoWatch 5 worth RM1,288, while stocks last.

The range-topping variant featuring the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor is coming to Malaysia and will be available on shelves at a later date.

Zenbook S 13 OLED (UX5304M)

The Zenbook S 13 OLED is the world’s slimmest 13.3-inch OLED laptop. With a world-beating super-slim 1cm profile and a super-light 1kg chassis, the sophisticated Zenbook S 13 OLED delivers no-compromise performance, connectivity, and battery life, making it the epitome of ultraportable design, and is finished in brand-new Basalt Gray or classic Ponder Blue.

The laptop sports a 13.3-inch 16:10 3K (2,880 x 1,800) ASUS Lumina OLED display that’s Dolby Vision certified, with Pantone Validated color rendering and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.

It is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 155U with 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Even though it’s ultra-compact, Zenbook S 13 OLED includes a full complement of I/O ports, so users don’t need to carry dongles or adapters on their travels. The two ultrafast Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports support fast charging, 4K external displays, and up to 40 Gbps data transfers, and there’s also a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED (UX5304M) will be available from 19 February 2024 onwards, priced at RM6,499. The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED will be offered in two finishes: the unique plasma ceramic aluminum Basalt Gray option, as well as the classic anodized Ponder Blue color.

Vivobook 16 (A1605)

The Vivobook 16 (A1605) sports a 16-inch 16:10 WUXG NanoEdge display offering a screen-to-body ratio of up to 86.5%. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core 5 processor 120U, with up to 16GB of 3,200MHz DDR4 memory and 512GB of speedy SSD storage.

The long-lasting 42 Wh high-capacity battery keeps the laptops going for longer, while ultrafast connectivity is provided by up to WiFi 6 enhanced with ASUS WiFi Master technology for fast and stable connections.

With a full set of I/O ports, it’s easier than ever for users to connect their existing peripherals, displays, and projectors. In addition to a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port with power delivery, there are two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI output, and a convenient 3.5mm audio combo jack.

ASUS Vivobook 16 (A1605) is available in one single specification, featuring the Intel Core 5 processor 120U mated to 16GB RAM and 512GB of PCIe storage, priced at just RM3,099. The ASUS Vivobook 16 comes in two colors, Indie Black and Cool Silver, and can be gotten from all authorized ASUS resellers as well as the official ASUS e-store starting 29 January 2024.

Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405)

The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405) will be available in Malaysia from all ASUS authorized resellers in two variants. The Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405) powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor, paired with 32GB RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 storage will be available for RM5,999. An Intel Core Ultra 5 125H-powered variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage will be available for RM4,499. Both the variants mentioned above come in the Ponder Blue finish and will be on shelves starting today. Meanwhile, the Foggy Silver color option will be offered in Malaysia at a later date.
