ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially introduced the new 2026 lineup of the ROG Zephyrus G14 and ROG Zephyrus G16 ultraportable gaming laptops in Malaysia, bringing next-generation AI-powered performance, premium OLED displays, and powerful NVIDIA Blackwell graphics to creators, professionals, and gamers on the move.
Designed to strike a balance between portability and flagship-level performance, the latest Zephyrus series is powered by the newest Intel Core Ultra 9 and AMD Ryzen AI 9 processors, paired with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPUs for serious gaming and demanding creative workloads.
The 2026 Zephyrus G14 and G16 continue ROG’s philosophy of delivering desktop-class power in a highly portable form factor. Both machines feature advanced ROG Intelligent Cooling, helping maintain strong thermal performance while keeping fan noise under control.
Depending on configuration, the G14 comes equipped with up to a quad-heatpipe cooling system, while the larger G16 benefits from a vapour chamber design. Tri-Fan Technology also returns, alongside a redesigned bottom panel with improved ventilation and optimised exhaust vents to keep thermals in check during intensive gaming or content creation sessions.
Intel-powered variants of both laptops feature the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor with up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance, enabling local AI workloads and fully qualifying them as Copilot+ PCs. The G14 is also available with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 processor, also offering 50 TOPS of NPU performance for efficient AI-assisted productivity and enhanced security.
On the graphics side, the Zephyrus G14 supports up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, while the Zephyrus G16 pushes even further with up to the GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Built on NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell architecture, users can expect support for DLSS 4 and Frame Generation for smoother gameplay and improved creative workflows.
One of the standout upgrades this year is the new ROG Nebula HDR OLED display found across the entire lineup. ASUS says these are the brightest OLED panels ever featured on a gaming laptop, delivering up to 1100 nits peak HDR brightness with support for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification.
The G14 features a 14-inch 3K 120Hz OLED panel, while the G16 gets a larger 16-inch 2.5K 240Hz OLED display. Both support 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, 0.2ms response time, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and Delta E <1 colour accuracy, making them ideal not just for gaming but also for professional-grade content creation.
To further enhance durability and visibility, the displays are protected by scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass with DXC, reducing reflections while improving long-term durability.
The Zephyrus G14 starts from just 1.5kg, while the G16 starts from 1.85kg, making both excellent options for users who need performance on the go. Both laptops use a CNC-milled aluminium chassis available in Platinum White or Eclipse Grey, offering a sleek and professional design suitable for both office and gaming setups.
ROG has also upgraded the signature Slash Lighting array on the lid from just 7 zones to 35 zones on selected models, allowing for greater personalisation and more intricate lighting animations. An improved EasyLift hinge and six-speaker audio system also contribute to a more refined daily experience.
Connectivity remains strong with dual USB-C ports supporting up to Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB-A ports, SD or microSD card readers, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and built-in audio jacks for creators working on the go.
Pricing and Availability
The new ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 will be available across Malaysia from 24 May 2026 onwards. Prior to that, selected models will launch exclusively via the ASUS Malaysia eStore starting 17 May 2026, with early bird bundles worth up to RM1,437 while stocks last.
