ASUS Malaysia has announced the availability of its new ASUS ExpertBook P Series in Malaysia, comprising the ASUS ExpertBook P3 G1, ASUS ExpertBook P5 G1, and ASUS ExpertBook PM5 G2. The new lineup brings business-focused durability, connectivity and AI-powered features to students, professionals and everyday users through selected retail and online channels.
The three models are positioned to cater to different levels of productivity, with the ExpertBook P3 G1 focusing on everyday business and study tasks, the ExpertBook P5 G1 offering a more premium combination of portability and performance, while the ExpertBook PM5 G2 targets users who require more advanced on-device AI capabilities.
As part of the ExpertBook family, the new laptops are designed with durability in mind and have undergone testing to withstand everyday bumps, drops and spills. ASUS is also highlighting reinforced I/O ports that are tested to withstand up to 9kg of physical force, aiming to improve reliability and reduce potential maintenance issues over the lifespan of the laptops.
AI features are another key focus of the new ExpertBook P Series. The lineup includes two AI PCs and one Copilot+ PC, providing users with AI-powered features aimed at improving productivity and workflows. ASUS AI ExpertMeet is also included, offering features such as AI Meeting Minutes for capturing and organising key discussion points, as well as AI Translated Subtitles for real-time multilingual translation during meetings. The AI processing is handled on the device, keeping meeting data on the PC.
The three models are available with either 14-inch or 16-inch displays. All feature a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing additional vertical screen space compared to conventional 16:9 panels. This can be useful when working with documents, spreadsheets, webpages, or code, while the 14-inch models offer a more portable option and the 16-inch versions provide a larger workspace.
ExpertBook P3 G1
The ASUS ExpertBook P3 G1 is designed as an everyday business laptop and is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, including up to the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H with an Intel AI Boost NPU delivering up to 13 TOPS. It comes with 16GB of DDR5 RAM and supports PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, while graphics are handled by Intel Graphics or Intel Arc. The laptop is offered in 14-inch and 16-inch configurations, with both featuring WUXGA 16:10 Value-IPS displays with a 300-nit brightness rating.
For connectivity, the ExpertBook P3 G1 includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, alongside Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C, USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1, an RJ45 LAN port and a combo audio jack. It also features an FHD+ IR camera with a webcam shield, a backlit keyboard with 1.5mm key travel and a spill-resistant design. The 14-inch model starts at 1.43kg, while the 16-inch version starts at 1.78kg.
ExpertBook P5 G1
Moving up the lineup, the ASUS ExpertBook P5 G1 combines an AI-enabled Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD. ASUS states that the model supports up to 64GB of RAM in its specifications, while the press release highlights upgradeability and dual SSD storage. It also comes with an OLED display in both 14-inch and 16-inch variants, with the 14-inch model covering 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and the 16-inch model covering 95%.
The 14-inch ExpertBook P5 G1 starts at just 1.29kg, while the 16-inch model starts at 1.62kg. Both models feature Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a 5MP IR camera with privacy shutter, Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C, USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1 and Gigabit Ethernet.
ExpertBook PM5 G2
At the top of the new lineup is the ASUS ExpertBook PM5 G2, which is positioned around next-generation on-device AI performance. It can be configured with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor featuring an AMD XDNA NPU capable of up to 55 TOPS, while the Ryzen AI 7 445 configuration provides up to 50 TOPS. Graphics are handled by AMD Radeon 890M or Radeon 840M, depending on the processor configuration.
The ExpertBook PM5 G2 comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, with support for up to 64GB of RAM. It is available in 14-inch and 16-inch OLED configurations, with the 14-inch model offering 100% DCI-P3 coverage and the 16-inch model offering 95%. Both models also feature Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a 5MP IR camera with privacy shutter and a selection of USB, HDMI and RJ45 connectivity options.
Pricing & Availability
The ASUS ExpertBook P Series is now available in Malaysia through selected ASUS authorised retail and online channels. Pricing starts at RM4,799 for the P3 G1, RM7,999 for the P5 G1, and RM9,399 for the PM5 G2. The PM5 G2 is available exclusively online through the ASUS e-Store, the ASUS ExpertBook Official Store on Shopee and Lazada.
All ASUS ExpertBook models also come with ASUS Business Advantage, which includes up to three years of on-site warranty, one year of ASUS LADP coverage for accidental damage such as drops, liquid spills and electrical surges, a three-year McAfee Security subscription and one year of free VPN coverage.
