[Update 11/5/2020] The second-generation iPhone SE is now available in Malaysia!
Apple has just announced the second-generation iPhone SE, which is the most affordable iPhone yet powered by the latest A13 Bionic chip, similar to the iPhone 11 series.
Well, the design certainly looks familiar, similar to the iPhone 8, it’s no surprise since this is an affordable iPhone. Like the iPhone 8, it sports a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, which is basically an IPS display. And yes, the Touch ID fingerprint sensor makes its return.
As we mentioned earlier, it is powered by the latest A13 Bionic chip with three storage options — 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Since it has an updated processor, its 12MP camera with OIS now features Smart HDR photography and Portrait mode. Selfie wise, there’s a 7MP front-facing camera with Portrait mode feature too.
The new iPhone SE is also IP67 water and dust resistance up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Apple claims that it now offers 13 hours of video playback on a single charge, which also supports 18W fast charging to 50% in just 30 minutes. It also supports wireless charging too, just like the latest iPhones.
The new iPhone SE runs on iOS 13 out of the box, it will be available in White, Black, and (PRODUCT) Red. Unfortunately, we do not know the launching date of the phone in Malaysia, but the prices are as below:
- 64GB: RM1,999
- 128GB: RM2,199
- 256GB: RM2,699
