Acer Offers Chrome Education Upgrade For Its Chromebook Lineup

Acer and Google had a long-running history since the launch of their first Chromebook in 2011. Well, nothing has changed in the past ten years as Acer has continuously worked closely with educators, students, and parents to improve, learn, and create the best education device. As of right now, Acer is launching an optional bundle Chrome Education Upgrade with its Chromebooks and the widest range of Chrome devices with Zero Touch Enrollment capability.

Malaysia will be one of the first countries that will have this optional bundle made available. The Chrome Education Upgrade and Zero Touch Enrollment will allow school IT administrators and educators who are using Chromebooks to leverage the full capabilities of Chrome OS to reduce the rising workloads of the teachers that have to cope with learning from home basis due to our current pandemic condition, without any compromise on security. IT departments are also able to drop ship Chrome OS devices that will automatically enroll into enterprise administration when the end-user connects to the internet.

As of right now, Acer offers a range of Chromebooks in Malaysia, ranging from Acer Chromebook 311 to the 2-in-1 Acer Chromebook Spin 311 and Spin 713. These devices are priced around RM1,299 and are available for purchase via the Acer official online store. The Chrome Education Upgrade is an optional extra that costs an additional RM350 on any Acer Chromebook purchase.
