Held at Asia School of Business in Kuala Lumpur on 17 October 2026, the event featured contributions from GIGABYTE, NVIDIA, EMARQUE and Developer Kaki. The programme combined industry presentations, live demonstrations and hands-on development sessions to showcase how organisations can build and run AI applications using computing infrastructure under their control.

The event also recorded strong on-site sales, with 18 units of the GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM sold, highlighting commercial interest in local AI solutions.

Developer Kaki opened the seminar by discussing the growing interest in agentic AI and the considerations involved in deploying AI agents locally. As these agents can make repeated model calls and interact with sensitive company systems, organisations need to consider usage costs, data access and resource management. Running suitable AI workloads locally allows businesses to exercise greater control over data processing and computing resources.

NVIDIA subsequently introduced local AI agent development using the NVIDIA DGX Spark, powered by the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip and NVIDIA AI software stack. The presentation covered tools for developing AI agents, safeguards for system access and methods of scaling workloads across multiple machines.

GIGABYTE then presented its AI TOP portfolio, explaining how its systems cater to different business and development requirements. A dedicated live demonstration also gave attendees a closer look at local AI applications in practice.

EMARQUE and Developer Kaki demonstrated how local AI could be integrated into everyday business operations, including internal knowledge searches, management reporting, financial document processing and coding assistance.

The seminar also explored distributed large language model (LLM) environments built across multiple GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM systems. Attendees were introduced to cluster configuration, deployment considerations and ways to determine whether adding a second system could improve computing capabilities for specific workloads.

Other demonstrations included an AI assistant integrated with AutoCount accounting software and a robot-arm simulation project at Australia’s Queensland University of Technology. The latter was powered by GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM and NVIDIA Isaac Lab.

According to the event organisers, GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM is already being applied in areas such as healthcare, biotechnology, legal services, robotics and university research. Its ability to run AI inference locally without relying on cloud-based token consumption limits offers organisations another approach to integrating AI into existing workflows.

The afternoon programme shifted towards practical development, with 50 participants taking part in the ACE Malaysia Mini Hackathon workshop. Participants were challenged to develop working applications that addressed real-world problems while running AI inference locally on GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM systems.

Teams explored potential applications involving AI agents, document retrieval, computer vision, speech and automation, with an emphasis on demonstrating the benefits of local AI deployment.

Omega Vision took first place with Clinic Scribe, an application designed to automatically document conversations between doctors and patients. The solution aims to improve healthcare efficiency while reducing the likelihood of errors.

Hackathon King(s) secured second place with Sentry, a human-in-the-loop incident-response agent that uses existing cameras to detect potential incidents, verify them and escalate them for human review.

Through its combination of industry insights, demonstrations and hands-on development, ACE Malaysia 2026 highlighted how locally deployed AI can support business operations and application development. The event also provided a platform for Malaysian businesses and developers to explore AI solutions that offer greater control over data processing and computing infrastructure.

The GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM is powered by the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip and features a 20-core Arm processor comprising 10 Cortex-X925 cores and 10 Cortex-A725 cores. It delivers up to 1 petaFLOP of AI performance, with NVIDIA Blackwell architecture graphics, 128GB of unified LPDDR5X memory and memory bandwidth of 273GB/s. Storage options support up to a 4TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen5/Gen4 SSD.
