As expected, Xiaomi today officially announced the Mi Note 2 in Beijing, China. Being the successor of the original Mi Note, the Mi Note 2 has a dual-curved design on both front and back.
The Mi Note 2 looks pretty identical to the Samsung Galaxy Note7, which has been discontinued. The device sports a 5.7-inch Full HD OLED flexible display, curved on both sides. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Unlike the Mi 5s Plus, the Mi Note 2 doesn’t have dual-camera setup. However, it packs a 22.56MP Sony IMX218 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The main camera also has EIS hardware-level 4K video stabilization. Selfie wise, it has an 8MP unit with Beautify 3.0 feature.
Juicing up the Mi Note 2 is a 4,070mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 supported. The device also comes with a high-quality 24-bit/192kHZ DAC. At the moment, there’s no words regarding to its launching date and pricing in Malaysia.
