Xiaomi has introduced its new Redmi Pad 2 series to the Malaysian market, offering two variants – a Wi-Fi-only model and a 4G-enabled version. These affordable tablets aim to deliver quality entertainment experiences with their 11-inch 2.5K displays featuring 90Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rates for smooth visuals. The screens carry multiple TÜV Rheinland certifications, including Low Blue Light and Flicker Free technology to reduce eye strain during extended viewing sessions.

Audio performance receives equal attention with a quad-speaker setup supporting Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certification, creating an immersive soundscape for movies, music, and games. Under the hood, both models run on MediaTek’s Helio G100-Ultra processor paired with a substantial 9,000mAh battery for all-day usage. The 4G variant adds convenient mobile connectivity with dual SIM support, eliminating dependence on Wi-Fi networks when on the move.

The tablets operate on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, which introduces useful ecosystem features like call answering directly from the tablet, one-tap Wi-Fi hotspot activation from Xiaomi smartphones, and cross-device clipboard sharing. Their sleek metal unibody construction gives them a more premium look and feel than typical budget tablets.

For users wanting to expand functionality, Xiaomi offers optional accessories, including the Redmi Smart Pen with its 60Hz refresh rate and light 10g activation pressure for note-taking, along with a protective cover that doubles as a stand.
