vivo Malaysia has officially introduced the vivo Vision Discovery Edition, marking the brand’s first mixed-reality headset and its debut in the Malaysian market. As the first Chinese smartphone manufacturer to develop a full MR experience from scratch, vivo is giving Malaysians an early chance to experience its next-generation immersive technology firsthand.

To let the public try it out, vivo is hosting guided “vivo Vision” sessions at its flagship concept stores in Mid Valley Megamall, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, and Queensbay Mall, Penang. These hands-on sessions run from now until 28 February 2026 and are available by registration only, on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will experience an immersive dome video setup—essentially a portable 120-foot giant-screen cinema—along with multi-angle sports and esports viewing, as well as intuitive move-and-pinch gesture control powered by OriginOS Vision. Slots are limited; we recommend signing up early.

The vivo Vision Discovery Edition is the result of four years of intensive R&D, merging vivo’s expertise in imaging, sensors, and display technologies to tackle the biggest challenges in perception, interaction, and on-device computing. It introduces a gesture-first interaction system, supported by highly accurate eye tracking (with a precision of up to 1.5°) and 26-degree-of-freedom finger recognition. Inside, dual Micro-OLED panels offer an 8K-equivalent binocular resolution, tuned to minimise visual fatigue even during long sessions. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2, enabling high-fidelity real-time rendering and smooth mixed-reality performance.

With the arrival of the Vision Discovery Edition, vivo is expanding its ecosystem beyond smartphones and into next-generation spatial computing. Fresh off the launch of the vivo X300 Series, the introduction of its first MR headset signals vivo’s deeper push into immersive tech—offering Malaysians a more connected, intuitive, and future-forward way to experience the brand’s innovations.
