The vivo V5s was officially launched in Malaysia last month with Gold and Rose Gold colors available first. Now, the company has just added a new color for the device — Matte Black.
“Our strong investment in R&D, innovation, and localized marketing campaigns have helped the brand record positive sales in the past year. Currently, vivo holds 12 percent of the total market share and is ranked fourth in the country with a year-over-year sales growth,” said Mike Xu, Chief Executive Officer of vivo Malaysia.
Retailing at RM1,299, the V5s sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display covered by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3. It packs a MediaTek MT6750 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. In terms of camera, the device features 13MP rear and 20MP front cameras with Selfie Softlight. The device runs on FunTouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and its 3,000mAh battery should be able to last through a day easily.
Additionally, the company also mentioned that Celcom, Digi, and Maxis will offer the device at lower prices through a subscription device bundle package.
