Last year, vivo entered Malaysian market quietly by selling the X3S. However, vivo isn’t as popular as its Chinese competitors such as OPPO and Xiaomi. This year, the company is holding a grand launch on 25th June, which will be launching the X5Pro.
Announced last month, the vivo X5Pro features 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass sandwich design, much like the Samsung Galaxy S6. It sports a 5.2″ Full HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by 1.7 GHz octa-core processor (likely to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615) with 2 GB of RAM.
The build quality of the X5Pro is pretty premium with a magnesium alloy frame around the phone. The middle frame of the phone uses honeycomb anodizing technology, which is said to prevent paint drops after a long term use.
There’s a 13 MP F2.0 camera at the back, which is protected by Sapphire glass. The 8 MP front camera comes with an image interpolation technology that allows it to shoot up to 32 MP selfie. Not to forget that the front-facing camera also comes with iris recognition technology. Users can unlock the phone by just scanning their iris.
The vivo X5Pro packs a 2,300 mAh battery despite having 6.44 mm thin body. This dual SIM smartphone supports 4G LTE and is running on FunTouch OS 2.1 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Stay tuned for the coverage of the X5Pro as we are attending the launch this Thursday.
