Sony Unveils WF-C500 and WH-XB910N

Sony had just recently announced two new models, which is the WF-C500 wireless earbuds and the WH-XB910N wireless headphone.

The WF-C500 is a pair of wireless earbuds that has a compact design. Despite the size, the eaerbuds can deliver high-quality sound with Digital Sound Enhancement Engine, or DSEE for short. DSEE restores high-frequency sound and adds a fine fade-out sound on the track to create a better audio experience.

Besides that, WF-C500 also allows users to tweak the audio profile with the Equalizer feature via the Sony Headphones app. The feature allows the user to tweak a variety of audio settings to match the music genre or even create a personalized audio profile.

The WF-C500 is designed to be small and light, the shape makes it fit securely in the ears, there are also some design touches to the surface of the product for a snug fit. In addition to that, the WF-C500 comes with a charging case that is small and easy to carry around. The case also has a translucent lid with a frosted texture to give the case a stylish, luxurious look and feel.

There are also several easy-to-use operation buttons on the earbuds for simple tasks like pairing, volume controls, and even track switching. The earbuds also support voice commands via a voice assistant like Google Assistant or Siri as the earbuds also have a built-in microphone.

The earbuds claim to have a battery life of up 10 hours without the charging case and 20 hours with the charging case. A 10-minute quick charge will give around an hour of playtime. The earbuds also have an IPX4 water resistance rating, making them durable enough for water splashes and sweat.

The WF-C500 comes in black, white, green, and orange and will be available in Malaysia from 18th October onwards, priced at RM449.

Next up, the WH-XB910N is an overhead headphone that features the signature “Extra Bass”, giving the headphones an impressively deep and punchy sound. Besides that, there is also an improved noise-canceling feature paired with Dual Noise Sensor technology that replicates the feeling of being in either a music festival or club. In addition to that, the WH-XB910N also uses the Digital Sound Enhancement Engine, DSEE, that tweaks and tunes the music played to be as high-quality as possible. There is also an Adaptive Sound Control feature that adjusts ambient sounds settings accordingly, it also recognizes the frequently visited locations and adapts accordingly.

The battery on the headphones could last up to 30 hours with a single full charge. A 10-minute charge could give the headphones up to 4.5 hours’ worth of playtime.

There are also touch-sensitive housing on each side of the headphone, allowing for simple controls to be done, like volume control, track changing, and accepting or declining calls. Furthermore, the headphones also support Google Assistant and Alexa.

The WX-XB910N comes in black and blue and will be available in Malaysia from November onwards, priced at RM799.
