Samsung continues its Fan Edition tradition of delivering premium features at accessible prices with the new Galaxy Tab S10 FE series. Our first impressions reveal the series that strikes a thoughtful balance between performance, functionality, and value.
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE series makes an immediate visual impact with its sleek aluminum chassis, echoing the premium design language of Samsung’s flagship Tab S9 series. Its slim, lightweight form factor ensures comfortable handling whether you’re binge-watching, sketching, or working on documents. True to the FE series’ ethos, the tablet comes in multiple vibrant color options that add personality to its professional aesthetic.
The base model features a 10.9-inch LCD display, while the Plus version comes with a larger 13.1-inch screen. Both models support a 90Hz refresh rate and offer a peak brightness of 800 nits, while not matching the deep blacks of AMOLED panels, deliver vibrant colors, and smooth 90Hz responsiveness. The screen proves more than capable for streaming content and everyday tasks, though display enthusiasts might notice the difference. A standout feature is the included S Pen, which magnetically attaches to the tablet and offers low-latency performance – a rare inclusion at this price point that significantly boosts productivity for students and creatives.
Powering the device is Samsung’s Exynos 1580 4nm chipset, configurable with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB expandable storage. In our initial testing, the tablet handled multitasking, Samsung DeX mode, and app switching with surprising fluidity. The software experience, running One UI 7 on Android 15, comes packed with useful features like split-screen multitasking, Galaxy AI tools, Circle to Search, and deep Samsung Notes integration – all optimized for tablet use.
Battery life appears robust thanks to the sizable 10,090mAh cell supporting 45W fast charging (though the charger is sold separately). However, the smaller tablet has an 8,000mAh battery. This combination should easily power through a full day of mixed use with quick top-up capability when needed.
While the mid-range processor and LCD display may not satisfy power users, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series presents a compelling package for students, casual creators, and media consumers. It successfully delivers core premium features – especially the invaluable S Pen – in a polished, affordable package that maintains Samsung’s signature quality and software ecosystem. For those wanting tablet productivity without flagship pricing, this might be the sweet spot.
The WiFi version of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE is priced at RM2,199, while the 5G model costs RM2,699. The Plus variant, on the other hand, is priced at RM2,799 for the WiFi model and RM3,299 for the 5G version. Customers who purchase the tablet between May 8 and June 15 will receive a free Book Cover keyboard.
