After months of speculation, leaks, and teasers, Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, positioning it as a direct competitor to Apple’s rumored iPhone 17 Air, expected later this year.
True to expectations, the standout feature is its ultra-thin 5.8mm design, weighing just 163g. To achieve this sleek profile, Samsung had to compromise on battery size, fitting in a 3,900 mAh cell. Wired charging supports up to 25W, with Samsung claiming a 55% charge in roughly 30 minutes, though the adapter is sold separately. Wireless charging is also included.
The phone boasts a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QHD+ resolution, a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection. Under the hood, it runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage.
For photography, the S25 Edge features a 200MP main camera (f/1.7, OIS) with 2x optical-quality zoom, alongside a 12MP ultrawide lens (f/2.2) that doubles as a macro shooter. A 12MP front camera (f/2.2) handles selfies.
Running Android 15 with One UI 7, the phone is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance and sports a titanium frame. Samsung promises a “captivating range of colors”, including Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icyblue. Its dimensions are 158.2 x 75.6 x 5.8 mm.
Unfortunately, it seems that the Galaxy S25 Edge will not launch in Malaysia anytime soon. Stay tuned as we will keep you posted.
