One week after the global unveiling, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G in Malaysia. Both phones feature an identical design to the higher-end Galaxy S23 series.
The Galaxy A34 5G has a 6.6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Galaxy A54 5G has a smaller 6.4-inch display with the same resolution, panel, refresh rate, and tech. The A34 is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, while the A54 has a 5nm Exynos 1380 chipset. Both phones come with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
In terms of cameras, both phones have a triple-camera setup but with different sensors. The A34 has a 48MP main camera with OIS + 8MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro, alongside a 13MP front camera. The A54 has a 50MP main camera with OIS + 12MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro, alongside a 32MP front camera.
Both phones come with a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging and IP67 rating dust and water protection. Running on One UI 5.1 on top of Android 13, Samsung also guarantees both phones will get up to four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
