Samsung Announces Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, and Galaxy A73 5G

Samsung is not done with announcing new phones! A month after the Galaxy S22 series, the company today has announced the new Galaxy A series devices — Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, and Galaxy A73 5G.

The new Galaxy A series devices all pack the same design with four colors — Black, White, Blue, and Peach. The Galaxy A73 5G has an exclusive color of Mint. These phones are also IP67-rated for water and dust resistance, and they pack a 5,000mAh battery with 25W Super Fast Charging, though Samsung no longer includes the charger in the box.

Galaxy A33

The A33 is the most affordable one in the lineup, packing a U-shaped notch. It sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is the new Exynos 1280 processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage. Samsung claims that the Exynos 1280 processor performs similarly to the Snapdragon 778G processor.

In terms of camera, it packs a quad-camera setup — 8MP ultra-wide + 48MP main with OIS + 2MP depth + 2MP macro. It has a 13MP front camera for taking selfies. The phone runs on One UI 4.1 based on Android 12, which supports the full Galaxy ecosystem just like the Galaxy S series and Galaxy Z series.

Galaxy A53

As for the A53, it sports a slightly larger 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone also packs the same Exynos 1280 processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB expandable storage.

In terms of camera, it packs a quad-camera setup — 12MP ultra-wide + 64MP main with OIS + 5MP depth + 5MP macro. It has a 32MP front camera for taking selfies, and it is a cutout selfie camera instead. Just like the A33, it also runs on One UI 4.1 based on Android 12.

Galaxy A73 5G

The A73 is the top-of-the-line model that sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G with 8GB RAM and 256GB expandable storage. Yup, it’s a different processor compared to the A33 and A53, we believe it’s about the 5G-related matter.

The phone has the same quad-camera setup as the A53, but the main camera is now a 108MP unit with OIS. Its cutout camera is also the same 32MP front-facing unit. Just like the A33 and A53, the phone also runs on One UI 4.1 based on Android 12.
