REDMAGIC has officially launched the REDMAGIC 11 Air in Malaysia, expanding its Air series lineup with a new ultra-slim gaming smartphone that combines flagship performance, advanced cooling, and long battery life in a lightweight form factor.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and REDMAGIC’s RedCore R4 gaming chip, the 11 Air is designed to deliver smooth gameplay, stable performance, and intelligent system optimisation for both gaming and everyday use. The device is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, ensuring fast multitasking and responsive performance even under heavy workloads.
In terms of design, the REDMAGIC 11 Air is the slimmest and lightest smartphone in the Air series to date. It is around 12% thinner and 10% lighter than the 11 Pro, while maintaining a comfortable grip for long gaming sessions. The phone features a transparent gaming-inspired aesthetic with subtle curves and RGB lighting, giving it a distinctive and modern look without compromising portability.
Despite its slim profile, the 11 Air houses a large 7,000mAh battery, representing a 1,000mAh upgrade over the previous 10 Air. The battery supports 80W fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up and stay powered throughout long gaming sessions, streaming, and daily use.
On the front, the phone features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,688 x 1,216 and a 144Hz refresh rate. Compared to the 120Hz panel on the previous generation, the higher refresh rate delivers smoother visuals and more responsive touch input. The display is complemented by ultra-narrow bezels for a more immersive viewing experience.
Audio and haptics have also been upgraded, with dual stereo speakers delivering richer sound output, while the improved X-axis linear motor provides more precise vibration feedback during gameplay. The phone also comes with IP54 dust and water resistance for added durability.
To enhance gaming performance, REDMAGIC integrates its proprietary CUBE scheduling system with the RedCore R4 chip. This combination enables several gaming-focused features, including frame rate upscaling to 144fps, enhanced image rendering, advanced haptic feedback, and synchronised RGB lighting that reacts to in-game audio. These features work together to create a more immersive esports-style experience.
Thermal management is another major highlight of the REDMAGIC 11 Air. Despite its slim chassis, the phone is equipped with active cooling technology, including a 24,000RPM turbofan and an upgraded 4D Ice-Steps vapor chamber. This new cooling system improves heat dissipation by up to 40%, allowing the phone to maintain stable performance during extended gaming sessions without excessive thermal throttling.
For photography, the REDMAGIC 11 Air comes with a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP front camera. While gaming remains its primary focus, the camera setup is capable of producing sharp images in various lighting conditions.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and infrared control. It also integrates Google Gemini AI for real-time translation, smart input, and device management. Running on REDMAGIC OS 11.0, the phone delivers a smooth and optimised user experience beyond gaming.
