POCO has officially launched the new POCO F8 Series in Bali, introducing the POCO F8 Ultra and F8 Pro. This year’s lineup brings notable hardware upgrades, along with Sound by Bose tuning for a more refined audio experience.
POCO F8 Ultra
The POCO F8 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, assisted by the VisionBoost D8 for enhanced performance. To keep temperatures in check, it features a large 6,700mm² vapor chamber.
Up front is a 6.9-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with slim bezels, 3,500 nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, complete with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
The rear cameras include a 50MP Light Fusion 950 main sensor (1/1.31”, OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide. A 32MP selfie camera sits on the front.
A unique addition is the rear-mounted woofer, which combines with the dual speakers for a 2.1-channel setup. BOSE handled the tuning for the F8 series.
Other key features include a 6,500mAh battery, 100W wired + 50W wireless charging, IP68 rating, eSIM, and Android 16-based HyperOS 3 with Google Gemini support. POCO promises 4 years of major OS updates and 6 years of security patches. The device comes in Denim Blue and Black.
POCO F8 Pro
The POCO F8 Pro runs on the previous-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with POCO’s 3D triple-layer IceLoop cooling system.
It features a 6.59-inch FHD+ LTPS AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a metal frame, and a matte glass back.
On the back is a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main camera with OIS, a 50MP 2.5x telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide, while the front houses a 20MP selfie shooter.
The phone packs a 6,210mAh battery with 100W fast charging. You’ll also find Sound by Bose, IP68, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, eSIM support, and HyperOS 3 (Android 16) with the same long-term update commitment.
POCO Pad X1 and M1
Alongside the smartphone launch, POCO expanded its AIoT portfolio with two new tablets — the POCO Pad X1 and POCO Pad M1 — aimed at users who want strong performance and versatility for both work and entertainment.
The POCO Pad X1 is built for immersive use, powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. POCO claims it can maintain 120 FPS in demanding mobile titles.
The tablet features an 11.2-inch 3.2K display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate, paired with an 8,850mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Audio is handled by quad speakers with Dolby Atmos and a 200% volume boost for a wider, more detailed soundstage.
Running on Xiaomi HyperOS, the Pad X1 includes AI-powered productivity tools and supports seamless cross-device connectivity.
For users who prefer a larger canvas, the POCO Pad M1 comes with a 12.1-inch 2.5K display and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. It also features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, offering up to a 300% volume boost to maintain clarity even in noisy environments.
Inside, the tablet is equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and a 12,000mAh battery for extended streaming and multitasking sessions. Like the X1, it runs Xiaomi HyperOS, enabling smooth performance, cross-device features, and AI-driven enhancements for creativity and productivity.
Availability
The POCO F8 Series is now available in Malaysia through mi.com, as well as POCO’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada. Early bird promotions are available from now until 18 December.
