Google has officially lifted the curtain on the Pixel 10a, continuing its tradition of bringing core Pixel experiences to a more accessible price point. Slated to arrive in Malaysia on 5 March, the Pixel 10a focuses on long-term software support, dependable performance, and Google’s signature camera smarts, all wrapped in a compact and clean design.

Up front, the Pixel 10a features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ P-OLED display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. While it keeps things relatively simple on paper, the panel is designed to deliver sharp visuals and punchy colours for everyday use. The phone also carries an IP68 rating, giving it solid protection against dust and water—something that’s still not guaranteed in this price segment.

Powering the device is Google’s new Tensor G4 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. As expected from a Pixel, performance isn’t about raw numbers but tight hardware-software integration, especially when it comes to AI features and camera processing. One thing to note is that the Pixel 10a does not support PixelSnap accessories.

Camera duties are handled by a 48MP main camera alongside a 13MP ultra-wide shooter. Around the front, there’s a 13MP ultra-wide selfie camera, continuing Google’s preference for wider framing for group shots and video calls. Combined with Google’s computational photography, the Pixel 10a is expected to deliver consistent results in both photos and videos.

Battery life should be another strong point. The Pixel 10a packs a 5,100mAh battery, supporting 30W wired charging and 10W wireless charging. While charging speeds aren’t class-leading, they’re perfectly serviceable for daily use, especially when paired with Google’s battery optimisation.

On the software side, the Pixel 10a ships with Android 16 out of the box and comes with a standout promise of seven years of OS and security updates. This long-term support remains one of the Pixel lineup’s biggest advantages, making the device a solid option for users who plan to keep their phones for several years.
