OPPO released quite a few selfie-focused devices in Malaysia this year. Well, 2017 is going to be the year of mobile photography. The company will be releasing the R9s in Malaysia soon, which focuses on the rear camera.
Released back in October, the OPPO R9s has a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage.
Now, let’s talk about its camera. The R9s has a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor for its rear camera with f/1.7 aperture. Selfie wise, there’s still a 16MP unit with f/2.0 aperture. One more thing, the R9s is capable of recording 4K video as well. The camera sample below is taken with the R9s:
Juicing up the R9s is a 3,010mAh battery, which supports VOOC Flash Charge that charges up your phone quickly in low temperature.
For now, there’s no word on the official launch date of the R9s and we aren’t sure whether OPPO will release the R9s Plus as well or not, which has a bigger 6-inch Full HD AMOLED display, a faster Snapdragon 653 SoC, the same camera with additional OIS+, and a bigger 4,000mAh battery that supports VOOC Flash Charge as well.
