Not long ago, OPPO officially announced the new R11 series — R11 and R11 Plus. The OPPO R11 series is the successor to the R9/R9s series, which comes with a few improvements. As we all know that the R series is mainly focusing on the smartphone photography experience, there’s no doubt that the R11 series comes with an improved camera setup.
OPPO R11
Like the R9s, the R11 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display at 401ppi pixel density. The device features a brand new curved back design with the redesigned antenna lines. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage.
In terms of camera, the R11 now packs a 16MP f/1.7 wide-angle + 20MP f/2.6 telephoto dual-camera setup, which works pretty similar like the iPhone 7 Plus. Additionally, the device also comes with Portrait Mode feature as well! Selfie wise, the R11 has a 20MP f/2.0 shooter too.
As usual, the R11 supports VOOC Flash Charge technology to charge its 3,000mAh battery quickly, which also means it still uses a MicroUSB port. The device runs on ColorOS 3.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The OPPO R11 will be available in four colors — Rose Gold, Gold, Red, and Matte Black.
OPPO R11 Plus
The OPPO R11 Plus basically is a bigger variant of the regular R11. It sports a larger 6-inch Full HD display at 368ppi pixel density. The device shares pretty much the same specs and features as the regular R11 — curved metal back, redesigned antenna lines, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, 64GB expandable storage, 16MP+20MP rear shooters, 20MP front camera, and ColorOS 3.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The R11 Plus, however, comes with 6GB RAM and a bigger 4,000mAh battery, which also supports VOOC Flash Charge technology. In terms of color options, the device also comes in Rose Gold, Gold, Matte Black, but no Red. Meanwhile, if you’re interested in getting the R9s, check out our full review here.
