OPPO Malaysia today has launched so called the “Selfie Expert” smartphone – OPPO F1 Plus. The F1 Plus basically is the international model of the R9, which was announced a month ago alongside with the R9 Plus.
The main selling point off the F1 Plus is its 16 MP front-facing Hi-Light camera. The front camera comes with a large f/2.0 aperture with ISOCELL technology. There’s also a beautification feature called Beautify 4.0. You can also capture group photos using the new Selfie Panorama feature. As for its rear camera, OPPO decided to use a 13 MP unit.
The device packs a 5.5-inch Full HD display with the pixel density of 401 ppi. It is running on ColorOS 3.0, which comes with flat and simple design language. OPPO claims that ColorOS 3.0 is 25% faster than ColorOS 2.1.
Powering the device is a MediaTek Helio P20 64-bit octa-core processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage. The storage can be expanded via MicroSD card up to 128 GB. It also comes with VOOC Flash Charge, which is able to charge the 2,850 mAh battery quickly.
Unlike other OPPO smartphones, the F1 Plus is the first OPPO smartphone to use a front-facing fingerprint sensor. Its fingerprint sensor also doubles up as the home button and you are able to unlock the phone in 0.2 second. Additionally, double tap the home button will lock your phone instantly.
The F1 Plus features all-metal unibody design, which comes in Rose Gold and Gold color options.
The OPPO F1 Plus will be made available for RM 1,898 starting today in Sunway Pyramid at 6 PM before making its way nationwide on 11 April.
