OPPO has officially launched its latest flagship Find X8 series in China, consisting of three new models: the premium Find X8 Ultra, the more compact Find X8s, and the Find X8s+. These devices cater to different user preferences while maintaining high-end performance.
Find X8 Ultra
The Find X8 Ultra represents the pinnacle of OPPO’s smartphone technology, featuring several notable upgrades over its predecessor. With a thickness of just 8.78mm, it claims the title of the thinnest flagship camera phone currently available. Despite its slim profile, durability has been enhanced with an IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, as well as an SGS five-star certification for drop resistance.
The phone retains its 6.82-inch 10-bit LTPO OLED display with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 3,168 × 1,440px resolution, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. New to this model are two additional physical buttons: a customizable Shortcut button on the upper left side and a Quick button near the bottom right, primarily designed for camera functions. The device comes in three elegant color options: Matte Black, Pure White, and Shell Pink, all featuring matte-finished metal frames and glass panels.
The Find X8 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X-9600 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device runs on ColorOS 15, based on Android 15. Battery capacity sees a significant increase with a new 6,100mAh silicon-carbon cell, offering approximately 20% more capacity while maintaining support for 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The camera system continues to use the 50MP 1-inch Sony LYT900 main sensor and 50MP ultrawide lens while introducing improvements to the periscope zoom cameras. The 3x 50MP telephoto lens now features a brighter f/2.1 aperture and 70mm focal length, while the 6x 50MP telephoto lens moves to a brighter f/3.1 aperture with a 135mm focal length. A 32MP front-facing camera is housed in the display’s punch-hole cutout. The imaging system benefits from OPPO’s new True Chroma camera technology, developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, and is further enhanced by the next-generation HyperTone Image Engine for improved color accuracy and performance in challenging lighting conditions.
Find X8s & Find X8s+
For users preferring more compact devices, OPPO offers the Find X8s and Find X8s+. The Find X8s features a 6.3-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, while the slightly larger Find X8s+ comes with a 6.59-inch panel maintaining the same resolution and refresh rate. Both models share the IP68/IP69 rating for durability and run ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. They also support OPPO’s Mag Magnetic Ecosystem, allowing for the use of magnetic accessories such as attachable battery packs through a proprietary case.
Color options for the Find X8s include Hoshino Black, Moonlight White, Island Blue, and Cherry Blossom Pink, while the Find X8s+ is available in Hoshino Black, Moonlight White, and Hyacinth Purple.
Both devices are powered by the Dimensity 9400+ chipset, featuring an overclocked prime core running at 3.73GHz and enhanced AI capabilities. Memory configurations go up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The Find X8s houses a 5,700mAh silicon-carbon battery, while the Find X8s+ comes with a slightly larger 6,000mAh unit. Both support 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Find X8s features a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view, and an 85mm-equivalent 50MP telephoto lens with dual-axis optical image stabilization. The Find X8s+ maintains the same main and ultrawide sensors but switches to a 73mm-equivalent 50MP telephoto lens. Both models include a 32MP front-facing camera.
Pricing for the Find X8 Ultra starts at CNY6,499 (approximately RM3,950) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, with the 16GB/512GB model priced at CNY6,999 (around RM4,251) and the top-tier 16GB/1TB version costing CNY7,999 (about RM4,859). The Find X8s series begins at CNY4,199 (roughly RM2,550) for the base 12GB/256GB configuration, reaching up to CNY5,499 (approximately RM3,340) for the 16GB/1TB option. At this time, OPPO has not confirmed whether these new Find X8 models will be released outside of China.
