OPPO Find X5 Series Officially Announced

OPPO Find X5 Series

The OPPO Find X5 series has finally made its official debut, featuring two devices — the Find X5 Pro and Find X5. Both phones are the first to feature the company’s own MariSilicon X NPU and the imaging enhancements by Hasselblad.

The Find X5 Pro is the high-end variant in the OPPO Find X5 series, which is also the successor of last year’s Find X3 Pro. The phone sports a 6.7-inch curved 10-bit WQHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 100% P3 color gamut coverage.

The back of the phone is now a ceramic panel, which is two times stronger than any conventional glass. The phone is also IP68-rated water and dust resistance, just like many flagship devices nowadays.

Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with 12GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. In terms of camera, the phone has a triple-camera setup — 50MP Sony IMX766 main with OIS + 50MP Sony IMX766 ultra-wide + 13MP telephoto lens. It also has a 32MP Sony IMX709 front camera for taking selfies.

As mentioned earlier, the OPPO Find X5 series comes with the MariSilicon X NPU, which enables the imaging system to run an advanced AI noise reduction (AINR) algorithm that provides four times image improvement during low-light photography and video recording. The phone’s Pro Mode also comes with the Hasselblad Natural Colour Calibration tool that offers a range of Master filters.

As for the Find X5, it comes with the same curved display as the Pro variant but comes in a smaller size — 6.55-inch. Under the hood, the Find X5 has the same MariSilicon X NPU but is now powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It also comes with a smaller 4,800mAh battery that also supports 80W SUPERVOOC, but the wireless charging is capped at 30W.

In terms of camera, the Find X5 has the same triple camera setup and selfie shooter as the Pro variant. It also features the Hasselblad tool and MariSilicon X NPU for image enhancements.

Both models of the OPPO Find X5 series will be available in certain markets on 14 March, though OPPO Malaysia has yet to confirm the local availability and pricing of both devices. We believe only the Pro model will be making its way to our shores, just like its predecessor.
