OPPO Find N5 Officially Announced

OPPO has officially unveiled its latest flagship foldable smartphone, the Find N5. Marketed as the slimmest foldable device in its category, the Find N5 boasts high performance, extended battery life, and an almost seamless internal display.

True to its claims, the OPPO Find N5 measures a remarkable 8.93mm when folded, making it only slightly thicker than a standard bar-style smartphone. When unfolded, it thins down to just 4.2mm (not including the camera bump), with a USB-C port neatly integrated into one side of the device.

The phone sports a 6.62-inch LTPO OLED cover display with a resolution of 1,140×2,616, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2,450 nits, and Nanocrystal Glass protection. Opening the device reveals an expansive 8.12-inch LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 2,248×2,480, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,100 nits. The near-invisible crease is achieved through OPPO’s advanced Flexion Hinge, crafted from 3D-printed titanium alloy.

The Find N5’s frame is constructed from robust aluminum and comes with an IPX6/IPX8/IPX9 water resistance rating. Additional features include a three-stage alert slider, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated with the lock button, and stereo speakers.

Powering the Find N5 is the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm’s newest flagship chipset, making it the first foldable smartphone to feature this processor. OPPO Malaysia has announced that only one variant, with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, will be available locally. Despite its sleek design, the phone incorporates dual-cell batteries with a combined capacity of 5,600mAh, supporting 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and reverse wired charging.

On the software front, the Find N5 runs ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, enhanced with first-party and Gemini-powered AI features like text summarization, Circle to Search, and an AI Image Editor. Notably, the Find N5 is OPPO’s first device to offer macOS integration, enabling users to remotely control their Apple computers via the updated O+ Connect feature, which originally focused on seamless file sharing between OPPO and iPhone devices.

For photography, the rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. Both front-facing cameras on the internal and external displays feature 8MP wide sensors. As with most OPPO smartphones, the imaging system is enhanced with Hasselblad tuning.

In Malaysia, the OPPO Find N5 is priced at RM7,999 and comes in Cosmic Black and Misty White color options. Pre-orders are now open, with deliveries set to begin next week on February 28, 2025.

Additionally, OPPO has also unveiled its latest flagship smartwatch, the OPPO Watch X2, designed to deliver advanced health tracking, premium durability, and exceptional battery life. Featuring a 60-second Health Check-In, single-lead EKG monitoring, and multi-dimensional sleep tracking, it empowers users to stay on top of their wellness. With a 1.5-inch OLED display, MIL-STD-810H durability, IP68 & 5ATM water resistance, and a Premium Titanium Alloy Bezel, the Watch X2 combines elegance with endurance.

The OPPO Watch X2 is priced at RM1,499 in Summit Blue and RM1,399 in Lava Black. Pre-orders are now open, with deliveries set to begin next week on February 28, 2025.
