As mentioned last week, the OPPO F5 has finally made its official debut in Malaysia. Sporting a 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 display, the F5 is yet another smartphone to have a display with rounded corners.
Being a selfie-focused smartphone, the F5 has a 20MP front camera that comes with A.I. Beauty Recognition technology. It records more than 200 facial recognition spots of a face. Hence, all selfies taken with the F5 will be refined and look natural. Additionally, its facial recognition feature also being used to unlock your phone, though there’s also a fingerprint sensor on the back. Meanwhile, the rear camera is a 16MP f/1.8 unit.
Powering the device is a MediaTek Helio P23 SoC with 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. The device packs a 3,200mAh battery and runs on ColorOS 3.2 based on Android Nougat.
Finally, the device is now available for pre-order from now until 10th November 2017 at OPPO concept store and 888 authorized OPPO sales points across Malaysia or online at OPPO Official Website and from OPPO e-commerce partners’ site such as Lazada, 11street, Shopee, and others. Retailing at RM1,298, the OPPO F5 comes in two color options — Black and Gold. The device will go on sale on 11th November.
OPPO Malaysia has also stated that the F5 6GB RAM edition and F5 Youth will be available in Malaysia at a later date. Unfortunately, the availability and pricing details are still unknown.
