OnePlus announced the 8 series in April, which has two devices — the regular 8 and 8 Pro. This time around, the company announced only one device — the OnePlus 8T.
The OnePlus 8T is the successor of the 8, if you want to get the best OnePlus phone, the company mentioned that the 8 Pro remains its flagship. The phone sports a 6.55-inch Full HD+ 120Hz Fluid AMOLED flat display, an improvement over the 8’s 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of camera, the 8T packs a quad-camera setup — 48MP Sony IMX586 main with OIS + 16MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro lens + 2MP monochrome lens. Selfie wise, it has a 16MP Sony IMX471 front-facing shooter. The phone comes with dual stereo speakers, just like the regular 8.
The 8T has a 4,500mAh battery and it supports Warp Charge 65 (10V/6.5A), that’s an improvement from the 8’s 4,300mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T support. It runs on OxygenOS based on Android 11 out of the box, one of a few phones to have the latest Android version installed.
