Nothing has officially launched its latest mid-range smartphones, the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. Both models retain the brand’s signature transparent back design and Glyph lighting system but come with distinct camera configurations. Notably, these are the first devices from Nothing to incorporate a triple-camera setup and telephoto capabilities.
The Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro both feature a 6.77-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, are powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, and offer up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. While they share many key specifications, the two models differ in their camera systems and design details.
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro boasts a circular rear camera layout and a more sophisticated camera setup. It includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The periscope lens leverages Nothing’s TrueLens 3.0 engine and AI enhancements to achieve up to 6x zoom. For selfies, it features a 50MP front-facing camera.
In comparison, the standard Nothing Phone (3a) retains the 50MP main camera and 8MP ultra-wide lens but replaces the periscope telephoto with a 50MP 2x telephoto camera. It also downgrades the front camera to a 32MP unit while keeping the same 8MP ultra-wide lens.
Both smartphones are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 50W fast wired charging. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP64-rated water and dust resistance, NFC, and 5G connectivity. Running on Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.1, they are guaranteed three major OS updates and six years of security patches.
In addition to the new telephoto cameras, Nothing has introduced the Essential Key on both (3a) models. This programmable button, located below the power button, offers quick access to the AI-powered Essential Space, enabling users to efficiently manage and share content.
The Phone (3a) is available in Black, White, and Blue, with the 12+256GB variant priced at RM1,699, while the Phone (3a) Pro comes in Grey and Black, with the 12+256GB model costing RM1,999. In Malaysia, users will have the unique opportunity to be among the first globally to purchase the Phone (3a) Pro, along with exclusive perks and offers available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Phone (3a) will be open for pre-orders starting March 8, with general availability beginning March 22. Similarly, the Pro model will also be available for pre-order from March 8, with general sales starting April 7. Additionally, a limited release of the Pro model will be available on nothing.tech starting March 22.
