Nokia is back! No doubt this is the most highly anticipating and exciting news at this year’s MWC! HMD Global has officially announced that the Nokia 6 is going global alongside with the announcement of three new phones — Nokia 5, Nokia 3, and the reborn Nokia 3310.
Nokia 6
Announced earlier this year in China, the Nokia 6 is finally going global. That’s not all! The company also introduced the Nokia 6 Arte Black Limited Edition. Specs wise, the Arte Black Edition is same as the Chinese model — 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, 16MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, 3,000mAh battery, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The global version Nokia 6 (non-Arte model), however, only has 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.
The Nokia 6 will retail at an average global retail price of €229 (Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper) and €299 (Arte Black).
Nokia 5
Coming down, we got the Nokia 5, which packs slightly less powerful specs. The device has a 5.2-inch HD IPS LCD display covered by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. As for its camera, it has a 13MP PDAF rear camera and the same 8MP f/2.0 front camera as the Nokia 6.
The Nokia 5 has a 3,000mAh battery and is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat as well. The device will retail at an average global retail price of €189, available in four colors — Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue, and Copper.
Nokia 3
The Nokia 3 sports a 5-inch HD IPS LCD display covered by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass, same as the Nokia 5. Its build material is reminiscent of high-end Lumias in those old days — an aluminum frame filled in with soft, sculpted polycarbonate and topped with Gorilla Glass.
Powering the device is a MediaTek quad-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. Camera wise, it has an 8MP front and rear cameras with different sensor sizes. All of these three Nokia phones above will get free Google Drive storage to keep their photos.
The Nokia 3 has a 2,650mAh battery and is running on Android 7.0 Nougat. The device will retail at an average global retail price of €139, available in four colors — Silver White, Matte Black, Tempered Blue, and Copper White.
And Finally…
A modern classic reborn! Priced at only an average global retail price of €49, the new Nokia 3310 is a thin, light and incredibly durable device. The device has a 2.4-inch QVGA display and is running on Nokia Series 30+ OS. It has 16GB16MB internal storage, which is expandable via MicroSD card. There’s also a 2MP rear camera with LED flash on its back as well. The Nokia 3310’s 1,200mAh removable battery is claimed to have battery standby for up to a month. You can also play the classic Snake game as well with the new 3310.
The Nokia 3310 is available in four distinctive colors — Warm Red and Yellow, both with a gloss finish, and Dark Blue and Grey both with a matte finish. Now, the legend is back!
