Motorola has unveiled the 2nd generation Moto 360 at IFA 2015. Unlike last year, the new Moto 360 comes with different sizes as well as several upgrades.
The new Moto 360 comes with four variants – men’s version in 46 mm and 42 mm, women’s version and a Sport variant.
The men’s 46 mm version has a 1.56-inch display with the resolution of 360 x 330, while the smaller 42 mm version has a 1.37-inch 360 x 325 display. As for the women’s version, it’s actually similar to the men’s 42 mm version but has a narrower 16 mm wrist strap.
The Moto 360 Sport is also based on the 42 mm Moto 360, but its strap is made of silicone. Specs wise, all Moto 360 variants are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 512 MB RAM instead of TI OMAP 3 chipset. There’s a 4 GB internal storage and a heart rate sensor. The new Moto 360 comes with new lug design that makes it easier to swap watch bands. Battery wise, the 46 mm model will have a 400 mAh battery, while the 42 mm model will have a 300 mAh battery.
The new Moto 360 is compatible to Android and iOS devices. There’s no word on its local release date at the moment.
