There are several new Microsft Surface devices that Microsoft launched during the company’s latest online launch event, one could say that the new Surfaces have ‘surfaced’ everywhere on the internet, get it?… no?
Okay, let’s move on.
These new Microsoft Surface devices are the Surface Pro 8, Surface Go 3, Surface Laptop Studio, and the Surface Pro 7+, and there is also an updated Surface Pro X. All these devices are said to support and have Windows 11 pre-installed from the factory.
Microsoft Surface Pro 8
The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a 2-in-1 device that is designed to have a power of a laptop with the flexibility of a tablet. The Surface Pro 8 features a 13-inch PixelSense Flow touch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also has an Adaptive Color feature and Dolby Vision for remarkable picture quality.
The Surface Pro is powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processors and can be configured with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. As for connectivity, the Surface Pro 8 supports Thunderbolt 4 that gives users the option to connect to multiple 4K monitors, transferring large files from an external hard drive, or even connecting the Surface Pro 8 to an external GPU. Battery life on this device can last up to 16 hours on a single charge and supports fast charging.
The device also features dual studio mics for a clearer voice during video conferences. Besides that, there are also a 5.0MP 1080 front-facing camera and a 10MP 4K rear-facing camera with autofocus. Windows Hello face recognition is also available on this device.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is ultralight in design, its chassis just weighs 889 grams. It comes in two colors — Platinum or Graphite.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio could well be the highlight of the event, some could say that its all-new design takes the cake. The Surface Laptop Studio is a 14.4-inch laptop that a special hinge design that lets it fold into what Microsoft calls a creative canvas, which is fair to say that it could transform into a tablet. Like the Surface Pro 8, the Laptop Studio also features a 14.4-inch PixelSense Flow touch display that is capable of a 120Hz refresh rate and is factory calibrated. But unlike the Surface Pro 8, the Laptop Studio comes with even more power, it will be fitted with the latest quad-core 11th Gen Intel Core H Series processors and could be paired with either Iris Xe Graphics or an RTX 3050 Ti. The Surface Laptop could be configured with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage. The Surface Laptop Studio also supports the Surface Slim Pen 2. Another main highlight of the Surface Laptop Studio is its touchpad that has Haptic feedback, replacing the conventional click switch.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio will come with two USB 4.0 ports that support Thunderbolt 4, a dedicated charging port, an integrated Surface Slim Pen 2 storage and charging, and Wi-Fi 6 support.

The Microsoft Surface Go 3 is an ultraportable 2-in-1 that comes with a high-res 10.5-inch PixelSense touch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The Surface Go 3 also comes powered with either an Intel Pentium Gold or an Intel Core i3 processor. The device could also be configured with up to 8GB of RAM with up to 128GB of SSD storage. The Surface Go 3 is also capable of lasting up to 11 hours on a single charge and it also supports fast charging. Besides that, the Surface Go 3 comes fitted with both 1080p front and rear-facing cameras, plus dual Studio Mics for better quality video calls.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ is a surface device that still retains the classic Surface Pro design, paired with the latest internals. The Surface Pro 7+ houses a 12.3-inch touchscreen display that has an aspect ratio of 3:2. The device is powered by the latest 11th gen Intel Core processors with a battery capacity that lasts up to 15hrs with a single charge. As for the I/O ports, the Surface Pro 7+ sports a USB-A, USB-C, headphone jack, and a dedicated charging port.

Microsoft Surface Pro X
The Microsoft Surface Pro X is now being refreshed with support for Windows 11. The Surface Pro X sports a 13-inch PixelSense touch screen with an aspect ratio of 3:2 for more screen real estate. Unlike other Surface devices, the Surface Pro X is not powered by an Intel CPU, but a custom-built ARM processor made by Microsoft, which has 8-cores, which is powerful enough for most users. The Surface Pro X is also marketed as being the thinnest and lightest Pro there is, weighing in at 771 grams excluding the keyboard.
Besides that, the Surface Pro X could also be configured with Gigabit LTE for connectivity. There is also a built-in front-facing camera, backed by dual Studio Mics and optimized speakers for a better video conferencing experience.
