A couple of weeks ago there were a couple of rumors that Microsoft is considering Windows phones, now the company has surprisingly revealed that it will soon unveil new premium Lumia phones powered by Windows 10.
This announcement has been made by Terry Myerson, Executive Vice President of the Windows and Device Group of Windows at Microsoft. “Last week we announced a focusing on our Lumia lineup, but let me be clear: soon you will see premium new Lumias designed for Windows 10,” he said.
Said upcoming premium Lumia phones that Myerson mentioned could possibly be the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL, which are rumoured to cost more than both the Apple iPhone 6 and Samsung’s Galaxy S6.
While there has been no word on when these premium devices would be unveiled, it has been rumoured that the software giant from Redmont could take the wraps off these handsets at this year’s IFA in September.
