LG has just officially announced the newest variant of its G4 flagship smartphone. The LG G4 Beat comes with same features and functions of the G4, but with a smaller size and lower specs.
The G4 Beat sports a 5.2″ Full HD IPS display, similar to the G2. Under the hood is a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 1.5 GB of RAM. Like its bigger brother, the G4 Beat comes with expandable storage. The internal storage however is just 8 GB.
The G4 Beat features an 8 MP camera on the back, supported by LG’s exclusive Color Spectrum Sensor (CSS) and Laser Auto Focus. For Latin American countries, the G4 Beat will come with a 13 MP shooter. Not to forget that the Manual Mode is also available on the G4 Beat’s camera as well. Additionally, LG also enhanced the 5 MP front-facing shooter with Gesture Interval Shot to allow users to take four consecutive selfies with a single hand gesture.
The LG G4 Beat packs a 2,300 mAh removable battery and is running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It will be available in three colors – Metallic Silver, Ceramic White and Shiny Gold. Unfortunately, there’s no word on its official availability in Malaysia. Meanwhile, LG Malaysia recently has launched the G4 in Malaysia, so there’s a chance for the G4 Beat to arrive Malaysia as well.
