Jaybird, a Salt Lake City-based company, will soon be part of Logitech. Logitech today announced that the company has agreed to acquire Jaybird for approximately $50 million, with an additional earn-out of up to $45 million based on achievement of growth targets over the next two years.
In case you don’t know about Jaybird, the company was created in 2008. It creates wireless audio wearables for sports and active lifestyles. One impressive product from the company is the X2 wireless buds.
Logitech acquired Ultimate Ears in 2008, and since then has released a variety of headphones and portable speakers under the UE branding. The acquisition of Jaybird probably will allow Logitech to come out some fantastic products soon.
