iQOO 12 Officially Launched in Malaysia

iQOO, vivo’s sub-brand officially announced the new iQOO 12 in Malaysia, the company’s latest flagship smartphone. It is the first phone in Malaysia to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Unfortunately, the Pro model did not make its way to our market.

The iQOO 12 sports a flat 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate that has a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It comes with the Q1 chip that will enhance the gaming experience with low-latency frame insertion, superframe, and super-resolution. It also features the 6K VC four-zone cooling system and 6K vapor chamber for heat dissipation.

Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The phone also comes with 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and NFC. Juicing up the phone is a 5,000mAh battery that also supports 120W fast wired charging.

The iQOO 12 packs a triple-camera setup on the back — a 50MP “astrophotography” camera with OIS + a 64MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom, and OIS + a 50MP ultra-wide lens. It also has a 16MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.

Retailing at RM3,399, the iQOO 12 comes with two color options — Alpha (black) and Legend (white with BMW M logo). It is now available for pre-order until 11 December through iQOO’s Lazada and Shopee stores, offering an RM50 discount and free wireless earbuds. Early birds who purchase the phone between 12 to 18 December will also get the discount but it won’t include the earbuds.
