The HUAWEI P50 Pro and P50 Pocket are finally here in Malaysia! Announced last year, both devices are the company’s latest flagship devices, though they don’t come with 5G connectivity.
HUAWEI P50 Pro
The HUAWEI P50 Pro sports a 6.6-inch (2,700 x 1,228 px) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
In terms of camera, the HUAWEI P50 Pro packs a quad-camera setup on the back — 50MP Color True-Chroma Camera with OIS + 40 MP Mono True-Chroma Camera + 13MP ultra-wide camera + 64MP telephoto camera with OIS. The phone has a 13MP front camera for taking selfies.
The HUAWEI P50 Pro packs a 4,360mAh battery and it supports 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge and 50W Wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge. Retailing at RM4,199, it will be available for pre-order from 12 January 2022 and will be made available on HUAWEI Official Website, HUAWEI Experience Stores, Lazada, Shopee, and retail stores starting from 22 January 2022.

HUAWEI P50 Pocket
As for the P50 Pocket, it adopts the signature P50 series double-ring design, with one ring housing the camera module and the other the smart cover screen. It sports a 1.04-inch OLED circular cover screen with a resolution of 340 x 340.
The phone sports a 6.9-inch Full HD+ OLED 120Hz main display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It has the new-generation Multi-Dimensional Hinge and Multi-Dimensional Lifting design for a seamless fold and slim form factor.
Just like the P50 Pro, the P50 Pocket is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.
In terms of cameras, the HUAWEI P50 Pocket packs a triple-camera setup on the back — 40MP True-Chroma Camera + 13MP ultra-wide camera + 32MP Ultra Spectrum Camera, together with a 10-Channel Multi-Spectrum Sensor and an Ultra Spectrum illuminator. The phone also has a 10.7MP front camera for taking selfies.
The HUAWEI P50 Pocket has a 4,000mAh battery, which supports up to 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge. Starting from 22 January 2022, the P50 Pocket will be available for pre-order at RM5,999, while the P50 Pocket Premium Edition will be available for pre-order at RM7,299. Both devices will be available on HUAWEI Official Website, HUAWEI Experience Stores, Lazada, Shopee, and retail stores from 22 January 2022.
