Huawei today officially launched the P10 series in Malaysia, including the P10 Plus, P10, and the P10 lite, which wasn’t announced at MWC 2017.
Huawei P10 Plus
The Huawei P10 Plus is the largest and most powerful one in the P10 series. It sports a 5.5-inch QHD (2,560×1,440) IPS display and is powered by a Kirin 960 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage.
In terms of camera, the P10 Plus packs a 20MP monochrome + 12MP RGB with OIS, as well as SUMMILUX-H lenses with f/1.8 aperture. Selfie wise, it has an 8MP Leica front camera with f/1.9 aperture.
Juicing up the Huawei P10 Plus is a 3,750mAh battery that supports Huawei SuperCharge technology. The device is running on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Huawei P10
The P10 is a high-end device but with less powerful specs. The device sports a 5.1-inch Full HD IPS display and is also powered by a Kirin 960 processor with lesser RAM and internal storage — 6GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage.
The P10 has the same rear camera setup as the Mate 9, which we reviewed not long ago. The device has a 20MP monochrome + 12MP RGB sensors with OIS as well, but it uses the older SUMMARIT-H f/2.2 lenses. However, the device still has the same 8MP f/1.9 Leica front camera as the P10 Plus.
Juicing up the Huawei P10 is a smaller 3,200mAh battery with Huawei SuperCharge technology as well. The device is also running on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Huawei P10 lite
Huawei Malaysia today also quietly launched the P10 lite, which features a double-sided 2.5D glass design and a magnesium aluminum alloy frame. The device sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display and is powered by a Kirin 658 processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.
Unlike its bigger brothers, the P10 lite has a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, both aren’t co-engineered with Leica.
The Huawei P10 lite packs a 3,000mAh battery and is also running on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat as well.
Pricing and Availability
The Huawei P10 Plus, P10, and P10 lite are priced at RM3,099, RM2,499, and RM1,299, respectively. These three devices will begin its pre-order starting 23rd March on the Huawei Experience Store, Lazada, and Vmall. The Huawei P10 and P10 lite will be available for purchase from 31st March onwards, while the P10 Plus will need to wait until 15th April. As for the color options, all these three devices will be available in Prestige Gold and Graphite Black first, while other colors are expected to arrive at a later date.
