HUAWEI has officially introduced the MatePad 12 X (2026) in Malaysia, positioning it as a productivity-focused tablet that aims to bridge the gap between tablets and traditional PCs. The new model offers PC-level software capabilities, a lightweight metal chassis, and a high-refresh-rate display, catering to users seeking a portable work companion.
The HUAWEI MatePad 12 X (2026) features an all-metal body that measures just 5.9mm thin and weighs 555g, making it easy to carry around for work or study. Up front, it sports a 12-inch 2.8K LCD PaperMatte Display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness, designed to deliver smooth visuals while reducing glare during prolonged use.
Powering the tablet is HUAWEI’s Kirin T90A octa-core processor, paired with Wi-Fi 7 connectivity for faster and more stable wireless performance. The device is backed by a 10,100mAh battery, supporting extended productivity sessions throughout the day.
A key highlight of the MatePad 12 X (2026) is its focus on PC-level productivity. It comes with exclusive PC-level WPS Office 3.0, offering a desktop-like document editing experience on a tablet. The device also supports the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, enabling precise input for note-taking, sketching, and creative work.
In Malaysia, the HUAWEI MatePad 12 X (2026) is priced at RM2,499 (12GB+256GB) and is available in two color options: Greenery and White. The HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro is sold separately at RM599.
