HUAWEI has officially launched the HUAWEI Mate X7 in Malaysia, marking the brand’s most refined foldable smartphone to date. Designed to strike a balance between flexibility, performance, and durability, the Mate X7 brings flagship-grade hardware into an ultra-slim foldable form factor that’s built for everyday use.
At the heart of the device is Huawei’s X-True dual display system, featuring a 6.49-inch outer display paired with a larger 8-inch inner screen. The outer display offers excellent visibility even under bright conditions, while unfolding the device reveals a spacious canvas ideal for multitasking, content consumption, and productivity. Adaptive refresh rates across both screens ensure smooth scrolling, responsive interactions, and seamless app switching.
Despite its large display footprint, the HUAWEI Mate X7 remains impressively slim and comfortable in hand. Its quad-curved foldable design allows the phone to sit naturally when folded, while Huawei’s signature Time Space Gate camera module and Light Woven Brocade finish give the device a premium, distinctive look. The Mate X7 is available in Nebula Red, Classic Black, and Brocade White.
Photography is another key highlight. The Mate X7 is equipped with Huawei’s True-to-Colour Camera system, delivering improved colour accuracy and better light intake for more natural-looking photos across different lighting conditions. This is paired with an Ultra Lighting HDR Camera that preserves detail in high-contrast scenes, alongside a 50MP telephoto macro camera offering 3.5x optical zoom for both close-up and long-range shots. For video, the device supports Ultra HDR 4K recording, delivering richer colors and wider dynamic range.
In terms of durability, Huawei has reinforced the Mate X7 with its Ultra-Reliable Foldable Architecture. The outer display is protected by Crystal Armour Kunlun Glass, while the inner screen benefits from an advanced precision hinge and a three-layer composite structure. The device also carries IP58 and IP59 dust and water resistance, offering added peace of mind for daily use.
Powering the foldable is a 5,600mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 66W wired and 50W wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge for fast and reliable recharging. On the software side, Huawei integrates a suite of intelligent AI features, including AI Remove and AI Best Expression for photo editing, Face-to-Face Translation, and two-way AI noise cancellation for clearer calls and meetings in noisy environments.
The HUAWEI Mate X7 is priced at RM8,688. It will be available for pre-order from 20 January in Malaysia via HUAWEI Experience Stores, the HUAWEI Official Website, and official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. The device will also be offered through Maxis, with postpaid plans starting from RM170 per month.
Pre-order customers will receive exclusive gifts worth up to RM7,597, including a HUAWEI WATCH 5, a HUAWEI MatePad 11.5, HUAWEI Care+ with 1-year 1-time screen protection, and a trade-in rebate of up to RM2,000.
On top of that, Mate X7 owners will enjoy complimentary premium services such as APAC region warranty, 1-to-1 proactive care, and priority service. Customers are also entitled to AppGallery benefits worth up to RM3,069, featuring partner deals from Genting Malaysia, Trip.com, Celebrity Fitness, MST Golf, and Shopee PayLater promotions at selected HUAWEI Experience Stores, subject to availability and redemption periods.
Additionally, HUAWEI Malaysia also launched the FreeClip 2, HUAWEI WATCH ULTIMATE DESIGN Royal Gold Edition, HONMA x HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Pro, and HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 41mm with Milanese strap design (Gold or Black).
The HUAWEI FreeClip 2 is now available in Malaysia at a special price of RM699 after a RM50 rebate.
The HUAWEI WATCH ULTIMATE DESIGN Royal Gold Edition is priced at RM13,999, the HONMA x HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Pro is priced at RM1,299, while the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 41mm with Milanese strap design is priced at RM1,199, slightly more expensive than the original GT 6 41mm.
