Huawei today has launched the Mate S, G8 and MediaPad M2 8.0 in Malaysia.
Huawei Mate S
The Huawei Mate S is a smaller version of the Mate7 but with better specs in house. It features a 5.5″ Full HD AMOLED display covered by a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 4. Sadly, the Mate S in Malaysia doesn’t come with Force Touch technology.
Under the hood is a 64-bit Kirin 935 processor with 3 GB RAM. The model that we will be getting is a 64 GB version.
The Mate S also comes with the Fingerprint Sense 2.0, which is actually an improved fingerprint sensor from the Mate7. It allows you to unlock the device by just placing your finger on it, quickly respond to important calls, tailored control notifications and also acts as shuttle button while you’re taking selfie.
Camera wise, the Mate S has a 13 MP RGBW rear camera with OIS and 8 MP front camera. It comes with manual mode if you want to take your photography skills to the next level. The device also has a soft flash on the front, which allows you to take a better selfie in poor light conditions.
The Huawei Mate S is now available in Malaysia for RM 2,698. For now only Prestige Gold color available. It comes with 2 years premium warranty, 1-1 exchange during first year of warranty period, free door-to-door repair pick-up and after service delivery and one year LCD crack warranty. The first 3,000 Mate S consumers will receive a Mate S Bespoke Royal Selangor VIP Pewter Card.
Huawei G8
The Huawei G8 is a mid-range premium smartphone. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 3 GB of RAM. The 13 MP RGBW rear camera lens is covered by sapphire glass for better durability. The front-facing camera is a 5 MP unit.
Like the Mate S, the G8 also comes with Fingerprint Sense 2.0. The device is now available in Malaysia and can you believe that the device will only cost you RM 1,499?
Huawei MediaPad M2 8.0
The MediaPad M2 8.0 is an 8-inch tablet that has a metal body and a sleek metallic texture that brings user-friendly grip.
The slate has dual stereo speakers and a PA power amplifier that creates loud and clear audio. It utilizes Clari-Fi music restoration technology by Harman Kardon along with Super Wide Sound 2.0 (SWS 2.0).
